Beaches!!!
We've got the #1 Beach in the Nation, Siesta Beach, but some of our other beaches are not to be missed. Some of our favorites.
Lido Beach- Walking Distance from charming St. Armand's Circle (which is a great place to window-shop or get an ice cream cone).
Turtle Beach- Aptly named, Turtle Beach boasts one of the largest nesting areas for Loggerhead Sea Turtles in Florida.
Springs & Spring Runs
About a 2-3 hour drive North from Sarasota is the Springs Region. This area boasts dozens of crystal clear, freshwater springs. The springs stay at 72 degrees year round and so Manatees and other wildlife flock to these areas in the winter months.
Ringling Museum of Art
The Ringling Museum of Art is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. The building and grounds are an artwork in and of themselves. Wander the historic Ringling Mansion for inspiration or check out the Circus Museum.
Myakka State Park
If you want to have a look at the "real" Florida. Take a short trip to the Myakka State Park. We highly recommend the Canopy Walk, which a short stroll on a nature trail that also boast a canopy bridge and overlook. The overlook tower gives you a fantastic bird's eye view of the whole park.
